Thanks for this reflection, Tamara.
I have found the combination of yoga, prayer, and meditation provides a powerful avenue of connection with Spirit, too. As I am recovering from and learning to live with a chronic illness over the past 2 1/2 years, it has been so important to listen to my body, it’s strengths and limitations. Listening to Spirit to help me to let go of so many patterns that kept me from God and myself have been key. I am thankful for God’s grace to allow healing of my body and soul, as you say, one layer at a time!
The excerpt from “Let your life speak” made me laugh (although it is profound!). This is exactly how I described my approach to parenting/communicating with our two (then) teenage sons.

Thanks Marie for your response and sharing! Love that Parker Palmer’s thoughts relate so much to parenting teens!!

Tamara, thank you for this reflection. I would love to connect with you and hear more about what has influenced your theology of incarnation. Incarnational spirituality is what I am attempting to explore further in my DMin research.
